Happy Friday!!! Today's post is all about the underrated hue: yellow. Yellow typically isn't a popular color for women, however, this lemon shade is definitely something you'll want to gravitate towards this season (if you haven't already)! This particular lighter shade of yellow was seen in multiple Spring 2015 fashion shows including Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Missoni and Delpozo. It is oftentimes seen broken up with patterns or prints as seen here with this BCBG shift. This dress is hands-down one of my favorite dresses we have here at Monkees. I love the distinctive aztec pattern and how it is paired with flirty ruffles. It is so different from any other dress and is impossible to stray away from! What more could you want besides a fabulous dress that is as comfortable and fun as this one?! A huge plus about this lighter yellow color is that it can be paired with almost anything. It looks amazing with denim, can be matched with neutral tones for a simpler look or even worn with a pop of color like turquoise, etc.  I chose to focus on the alluring pattern and adorable ruffles of the dress, so I paired it with simple and dainty jewelry. The Kendra Scott bracelets and Sheila Fajl hoops were just enough to standout without taking away from the uniqueness of the dress. My bag and shoe choice also remained neutral, although this Kelly Wynne "halo" bag is a huge statement within itself! This is a new handbag that is a part of Kelly Wynne's Summer collection. We have a feeling that this bag won't last long on our shelves! If you haven't already fallen in love with this lighter shade of yellow than now is the time! Have a fabulous weekend!
XOXO,
Reece
